I enjoyed reading the retelling of Circe's story from Madeline Miller. While reading I remember depictions of the goddess in art and wanted to create a new cover design that merged these two interests. I took John William Waterhouse's painting as a visual and added complimentary typography to create a design I would love to see on bookshelves.
